Welcome To In His Power

Our Story

Pastors

Senior Pastor Armando Rodriguez accepted the Lord in 1983 and became an active member of an English speaking church; after several years of serving in his Church, Armando Rodriguez committed himself to Itinerate Ministry for 3 years, primarily Spanish speaking congregations through out Northern and Southern California.

In 1996 Pastor Rodriguez, with his wife and (3) three children, launched In HIS Power Christian Center (IHPCC) of Wilmington a Spanish speaking church. The first service was held at their home with a membership of (7); shortly thereafter services were held at a building rented for midweek Bible studies and Saturday services. Child care and Transportation was made available to everyone who requested, to facilitate attendance. Several English speaking families joined the congregation creating the services bilingual.

IHPCC began to host “Back to the Community” events annually, which consisted of FREE food, games and prizes; although the congregation members were not big in number it has always been our vision that the Church is to contribute to the community; contributing finances, clothing or hands on in various rehabilitation homes. Food distribution, community services, free music lessons and the continued child care and transportation services are only a few of what IHPCC offered.

Several years went on conducting every activity, service and outreach in a bilingual fashion. In 2003 In HIS Power separated the two languages by placing its sight towards Carson, California. The services are currently held in Torrance, California with the ultimate goal of finding permanent residence in the city of Carson!

In 2007 Pastor Armando was called upon to Pastor a Spanish congregation in Westminster, California. That same year he was established as Senior Pastor in Michuacan, Mexico. By crossing the national border, Pastor Armando is eager to provide missionary opportunities to those that want the experience and the Church could use the support.

In HIS Power has (4) four established churches and each one continues to be an active participant in their community.  The hub of the Organization is the Wilmington facility which has purchased a building in the city near the downtown area with the potential to host over 200 congregants. This ministry will continue to develop action plans with goals that will expand God’s kingdom on this earth!
